We use the true volume lashing technique. Creating handmade fans takes a lot of practice and talent. Lashes are carefully wrapped around the natural lash to create a natural looking, long lasting, beautiful lash set.
Lash extensions fall out with your natural lash shedding process which takes anywhere between 4-6 weeks depending on the individual. We recommend getting fills after 2 weeks to avoid having to purchase a new full set and to keep your lashes clean and looking fresh.
We take pride in the quality of our lash extensions, which means we take our glue choice VERY seriously. We use a Clearly Luxe Adhesive Glue by Jbrand which only contains 2 ingredients, and none of the extra preservatives that are found in many other lash glues. You can find the link to their website under our partner pride section on the home page.
There isn't really a short answer for this, and varies person to person. Researchers found that participants had allergic reactions involving their eyes or eyelids due to the glue or tape that the cosmetologist used to attach the eyelash extensions. They noted that all the products contained formaldehyde, a cause of keratoconjunctivitis, which is inflammation of the cornea and conjunctiva. In addition to formaldehyde, a person may be allergic to lead, or benzoic acid, which certain cosmetic products may contain. We are proud to say that our lash glue is FREE of any of the chemicals listed above. However, some guests can be allergic to another ingredient called "Cyanoacrylate" that is in virtually every adhesive on the market, and is in-fact one of the two ingredients in our glue. Pending on the type of reaction and the participants willingness to try lashes again, we recommend coming in first to receive a patch test or a simple lash placement test where we place one or two lash extensions on each eye to test out how the client reacts. This service is completely done at the discretion of the lash artist and client. If you choose to undergo a patch test or a lash placement test, you will be asked to fill out additional liability forms. To book a patch test or lash placement test, please email or call Third Coast directly.
2 hours! I know it sounds like FOREVER... but your lash artist is sure to become your new best friend, so time just flys by! If you are nervous or know you get antsy, we recommend to stay away from caffeine 24 hours prior to your appointment, try a CBD product (if thats your jam), request your favorite podcast or type of music, or even bring your air pods! We promise 2 hours is worth every second for the lashes of your dreams.
We LOVE kids, so much! They are more than welcome for quick, routine services, however, we do not allow children who cannot "entertain" them selves at our lash appointments. This is because mom or dad is stuck on the table for up to 2 hours with their lashes taped down. If you would like to try this experiment out at home, tape your eyes shut for 2 hours and lay on the couch and let the little guys run free (all jokes, from parent to parent).
No worries at all! This is what our artists are here for. Since all of our Full Sets are booked for the same amount of time, we are very flexible with the type of set. However, we suggest you book a hybrid set, and add in the appointment notes that you will need a consult for choosing the type of lash style. This will help our artists prepare for your appointment.
Please check out our after care section on our website. There you will find after care for all of our services. Don't worry, we don't expect you to remember all of it, so we will send you home with information cards as well!
Absolutely not! You barley feel anything at all.
NO!!! ABSOLUTELY NO!!! Lash artists do not tape eyes open. We tape the bottom lashes down with a little pad that helps us map out your lash design and keep your bottom lashes from being lashed.
Gross, very gross. Google it and wash your lashes ladies!!!
The Classic style is a “one-to-one” lash application. One eyelash extension is applied to each of your natural lashes. You achieve longer, fuller and well defined eyelashes. The Classic technique basically means to stick one single lash extension to an individual natural eyelash. Usually, classic is chosen when you want more length and a bit thicker lashes. They are best if what you want is something that looks natural.
A hybrid eyelash set is a set of eyelash extensions made from two basic extension methods consisting of Classic and Volume styles. This helps clients who wear hybrid lashes have long and natural lashes that cover up imperfections of their natural lashes and enhance their beauty. The gaps of sparse lashes are also filled with new fan lashes that have softness and flexibility but are not too sharp like a normal volume set. Personalization is something that few extensions have like the eyelash extensions hybrid set because it is not limited or has a specific rule. The technician almost relies on the client's natural eyelashes to perfect and develop this type according to each client. This is a plus to help hybrid set eyelashes quickly win the heart of millions of clients.
“Volume” eyelash extensions is a term used when we apply more than one thin eyelash extension creating a fan and placing it on a natural lash. These will give you a look that is more than what classic styles offer. With a volume set, you can get a thick, dramatic, and fluffy look. Volume lashes will give a dark eyeliner effect on the lash line and a bolder look. Volume sets are for those who want thicker lashes and a dark lash line. They are made by placing a lash fan on one natural lash. The lash fan can have two to eighteen lashes in the shape of a fan. If the clients have thin lashes but want thicker, full lashes, then volume lashes are the best bet. Mega Volume is a common term when requesting extreme volume, but here at Third Coast, we are artists and will help you achieve what ever level of volume your heart desires, while staying in the same price range.
